With some party members deciding that delaying any more is unnecessary, they head along to the corner below 4. Soon enough, William's caution proves correct, as a wererat leaps out of the darkness of the western corridor.
This is a rather suicidal move, and the party makes short work of him... well, her in this case.
[Numbers]
Because there are so many people in the party now with access to lycanthrope-killing equipment, a solitary wererat isn't going to cause them much trouble; therefore, I'll just report XP gained and say "Your winnar! XDXDXD." I'll also do this in future if the battles are 1 round.
20 XP earned per main party member.
New Party
The new pair of adventurers return to the dungeon; now they must decide on a direction to take. It's not as though the centaurs are going to make great company, particularly now...
[So, it's probably time that the new party start exploring the dungeon. I'll leave the when and where up to all of you.]
[Also, the contact limitations in the previous entry have been dealt with, so I'm available for random on- or off-topic chatting again.]
Looking down the dark hallways, Ferron says "Well, one direction looks pretty much the same as another. How about straight then?"
ReplyDelete"Straight and narrow, I like that. Not as exciting as wide and curvy, but dungeons don't offer much in the way of voluptuous choices..." Reginald nods and steps forward over the dead centaurs, cautious of any noise coming from the direction they are now heading in.
ReplyDelete"Straight it is! May I ask, however, that you go before me?" Reginald bows and extends his hand out and away, gesturing cordially for Ferron to take the lead, "You are, after all, of a much greater constitution than I and I have a ranged weapon to cover your back," He places his hand at the hilt of his gun, readying a steady trigger finger and a steady mind.
"Maybe this little LED I filched will be of use to us in the looming dark ahead."
[ooc: Auto, can I use my LED thingy (I stole it from the cab in my blog, if you don't remember) as a limited light source, effective maybe 5 feet ahead of me? The batteries will last for ages but it won't be as useful as a torch or lantern... whaddaya say?]
"I'm glad I listened to you..." James peers out from behind William at the slain Wererat. He puts down his backpack and pulls out a large thick binder. Picking up the backpack and putting it on his back he says "I think this might suffice as a make shift shield... you know... just in case"
ReplyDelete[OOC: Hey, was wondering if I could use the binder as a shield. If not that's okay, I will keep it out in front of me to make myself feel a little better XP
In any case... yah... I hope I can get something more useful to fight with later on.]
Kit .. .. just picks a random direction, and walks in it.
ReplyDelete*follow to Kit, a bit worry about something happen to him*
ReplyDeleteOOC: Cubist/Gauronne here... Sorry about not checking in over the past several days. Presumably, Gauronne has been engrossed in note-taking and casting Probe and so on; his reason for being here is to learn everything he can about Vlad's magick, after all, and he is something of an absent-minded professor, so there you are, right?
ReplyDeleteAnywho, Gauronne has 4 AP to play with -- yay! I spent 'em thusly: 2 pips to Coordination, and 2 pips to Arcane.
The puzzle presented by that wall panel was clearly too much of a temptation for Gauronne; in the time since encountering it, he has focused most of his attention on attempting to figure out what the hell that damn thing is, and does, and is for. [i.e. Probe spell and Arcane skill, as needed] Such was the man's single-minded focus that he actually managed not to realize that the people around him were in battle against a lycanthrope! Granted, it wasn't much of a battle.. but even so, he is embarrassed when he finally realizes what he's been doing.
Gauronne apologizes to his comrades, and promises not to let it happen again. And thn he basically dissects the dead were-rat, keeping a running commentary going (which he records on his SLG Stone).
