[Re Humanity: I'd rather have the characters start human, as everyone in the wider world of the game at least has the appearance of being human, and because the Attributes for non-humans will be slightly different than human. The chances are you'll stumble across something that will change you into what you want, Mephis, though it may take a while. On the other hand, if you really want to start off the game furry, you can always choose to sacrifice some points (how many I'll have to determine later) to have transformed your character beforehand. However, this will put you at a slight disadvantage in terms of the Attribute points and I didn't want to make the situation too hard for your character in comparison to the others.]
After a small discussion with Mephis on the financial benefits of having a "golden touch", Gauronne decides to try to reverse the current condition of his hand.
[Gauronne casts Dispel at a cost of 5 MP]
Gauronne feels a slow tingling reaching through his hand as the lifeblood slowly courses back into it. Eventually bone, sinew, muscle and skin return to normal. Well, almost normal. Gauronne's skin on that hand is now permanently golden.
They then turn to try to calm down Sarah, and to try to get access to their equipment, which is still locked in the trunk.

Note: Gauronne could have used his golden hand to smash open the trunk of the taxi.
ReplyDeleteOOC:I think I fixed whatever was messing with blogspot, anyway.
ReplyDeleteAfter greeting the others William heads back to the taxi. Starting from the sun blinds and going back, William starts rifiling through the car looking for a second set of keys.

ReplyDeleteI'm sorry..if we must force the trunk i can't help so much -say smiling more calm-
ReplyDeleteSarah starts to examine the taxi, trying to find any second key*
OOC: Gold is a rather soft metal. It's not at all clear that the golden hand even could smash the trunk open, and if it did work, how badly would Gauronne's poor hand have been dented/bent/reshaped in the process? Best not to find out the hard way, says I...
ReplyDeleteGauronne will join William in searching the taxi for a spare set of keys. There could be a little tin box stuck to the insider of a fender with magnets, as an example. So look inside the fenders, look in and around the bumpers, examine the taxi's undercarriage, etc.[and hope that any key we may find is not gimmicked or cursed in some fashion, heh heh heh] If we find the key on the taxi's exterior, great! Use it. If not, the next thing to do is search the interior -- check the floor and beneath the front seats, check the glove compartment, check the ashtray, yada yada yada. If we still fail to locate a key, the 3rd step is to check the ex-driver's body -- specifically, his clothes. Assuming his clothes are still around, I mean --since Automata hasn't mentioned them, it's possible that his clothes might have "poof"ed out of existence as part of the driver's TF. But if the driver's clothes are still around, check his pockets, and check his wallet; AAA offers its members credit-card-like spare keys which fit nicely into a wallet, and it's not all that unlikely that a guy who drives for a living would be an AAA member, right?
Finally, it may be possible to reach down the ex-driver's throat and retrieve the key he swallowed. But does anybody want to even try doing that?
If all mundane attempts to acquire a key fail: Then, and only then, will Gauronne burn 1 MP on a Force spellto serve as a lockpick. Should that not work, G. will see if he can't use the Force to retrieve the swallowed key (because it's a lot more palatable of an idea when it doesn't involve physical contact with stomach juices & etc).
ooc: Did you just say "Should that not work, G?" ... <<; Also Automata, fine with me. Makes it more fun later on.
ReplyDeleteWandering over to the gilded corpse of the ex-driver, he gingerly pokes it with his foot (shoe.. whatever) and can't really move it, due to the heaviness of the gold. He turns back to the car to help search the car. (And if the search fails even with all three of us) turns to Gauronne's attempt to force open the lock, starting to get really frustrated and willing to bash the poor ex-driver open.
